Geralt of Rivia in the Tub | The Witcher as a CAKE

I have always wanted to eat up Geralt and making him as a cake has just made it possible :D

The recipe for the sponge cake:

Ingredients

6 eggs (separated)

80 gr sugar | little less than 1/2 cup

180 gr sifted flour | 1 1/2 cup

1 teaspoon baking powder

4 tablespoons oil

How to make it

1. Start whisking egg whites until they start getting fluffier. Gradually add sugar while continuously mixing. Whisk until you get soft peaks.

2. Shortly whisk the egg yolks so that they get all smooth.

3. Add egg yolks to the egg whites and fold it in carefully.

4. Add flour and baking powder by sifting them gradually into the dough. Again fold in carefully.

5. In the meantime add the oil.

6. When all the ingredients are fully incorporated stop folding in!

7. Depending on the thickness of your cake you need to bake this at 180 C/355 F for at least 40 minutes (Mine was really thick so it took almost an hour to bake through completely).

8. Once the cake is out of the oven, let it cool off. For the best result, directly toss the cake into the freezer to be used the next day, or whenever you want.

Tips:

*I gotta say this again: The freezer option is the safest but of course you can just let it rest in room temperature.

*Want chocolate sponge cake? Remove 2 tbsp flour and add cacao. It tastes great!

and the recipe for the ganache:

300 gr white chocolate

100 gr heavy cream

To be safe I melt the chocolate first, then bring the heavy cream to a simmer and after that, I mix them together to cool off. Once it has cooled off, whip it up with a mixer so that you can pipe it onto anything you like!

How to make Turkish Style Zucchini Fritters | Vegetarian Snack with Feta Cheese

Zucchinis are some of my favorite veggies because they can be quite versatile. So it was just natural to make a video for zucchini fritters, which are called “Muçver” in Turkish. #recipe #vegetarian

Ingredients

2 zucchinis

Feta cheese

3 eggs

some flour

fresh or frozen mint and parsley

green onions

salt

seasoning like black peppers, flaked peppers or any other you like.

How to make it

1. After cleaning the zucchinis, grate them. Put some salt and knead the zucchinis.

2. Let the zucchinis rest in a sieve so that the excess water can drip off. 10-15 minutes are enough but you can let it rest longer if you want to.

3. Add the eggs, feta cheese, green onions, some parsley, mint and any kind of seasoning you like and mix it.

4. Add the flour to the mix until it is fairly firm (a bit thicker than pancake dough).

5. Fry on your pan of choice with some vegetable oil.

Tips

*The main ingredients are zucchinis, eggs, and flour, so anything else that we add here is optional. I highly recommend that you experiment with the recipe. For example, I like to use a mild feta cheese, which is still a bit firm so that after the frying I still have some pieces there. My mum prefers the saltier cheese, which has a bit of sour taste to them. I love green onions, as they give some freshness just like the mint does.

German Style Pasta Salad | A must for every get-together

The joy of every picnic or get-together! Some German style pasta salad always makes my day. #recipe #salad

Ingredients

pasta

yogurt

mayonnaise

cooked peas

cooked carrots

dill

assortment of peppers

pickles and its water

salt and other spices

How to make it

1. Cook the pasta according to the instructions.

2. If you haven’t cooked your peas and carrots yet, do that or buy them already cooked. Add them to the pasta.

3. Chop peppers and pickles into small pieces and add them too.

4. Preparing the dressing: Take a minimum of two tablespoons of yogurt, some mayonnaise (if you want to), add a good portion of the pickle water too. Add the spices. I added apart from the salt, flaked peppers, and black pepper. Mix this thoroughly and add it to the pasta salad.

5. Chop the dill and stir the salad until everything is evenly distributed. You can eat the salad directly but if you let it rest for at least 4-5 hours it will taste better.

Tips

* For the pasta: Gemelli (the spiraled pasta) work the best as they take lots of the dressing. But of course, you can use whatever kind of pasta you like. But I guess it would be weird with spaghetti.

* I usually prepare this salad the day before I need it. Like this, it has enough time to rest and the flavor does change quite a bit. I usually have to add a bit more salt.

* I personally don't like to add corn into this salad as it seems kind of too sweet to be in here but if you like corn a lot you could give it a try.

Meatballs in Zucchini Boats | How to make those meatballs float 🚢

I love zucchinis and köfte or meatballs. It just made sense to put them together! You should give it a shot. #recipe #foodporn

*** for some weird reason the video is double as long and totally black *** sorry for that mistake!

Ingredients

500 gr minced meat of your choice | 1 pound

20 gr breadcrumbs | 2-3 tablespoons

2 onions, chopped

1 egg

2 tablespoons tomato paste

grated cheese

some vegetable oil

salt

black pepper

cumin

How to make it

1. Wash your zucchinis and cut the hard pieces off. Cut them in half (length).

2. Scoop out the core with a spoon but don’t throw away the core. You can use it in some other meal or just make scrambled eggs with them (I made a veggie wrap for example).

3. Make your meatballs by putting the minced meat, eggs, chopped onions, bread crumbs and seasoning in a bowl and knead it thoroughly.

4. Roll the meatballs so that they’ll fit into the zucchini boats. If you have too many meatballs left, prepare another zucchini (that’s what I did).

5. Prepare the sauce by pouring a little of the vegetable oil to the tomato paste, add some warm water and seasoning and mix until the paste has dissolved. Add a bit more water if it is too thick.

6. Pour sauce over the meatballs and let it drip into the boat.

7. Put into the oven and keep an eye on them. Depending on the size of the meatballs this can take 15-20 minutes (oven heat at about 170 C/340 F)

Tips

*If you want your cheese molten and not crispy, put it about 5 minutes before it is done onto the meatballs. I unintentionally made it real crispy :P

Simple Mooo Cookies! - They look like the spots of a cow ;)

Oh, the memories! My mum always used to make the “Kuh Kekse” literally “cow cookies” for us as little kids so often… Sigh… This recipe is great with kids as they can “help” and make different shapes and all that jazz. #recipe #nostalgia

Ingredients

250gr butter/margarine | a bit more than 1 cup

125gr powdered sugar | 2,5 cups

500gr flour | 3,5 cups

2 tbsp cacao

How to make it

1. Add all the ingredients into a bowl. *Butter needs to be at room temperature

2. Knead until you got a soft dough.

3. Separate into two equal pieces.

4. Add cacao to one of the pieces and knead until it is dark brown.

5. Take equal pieces of both doughs and form a little dome.

6. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 160C / 320 F, while checking the bottom of the cookie.

Tips

*Careful the cookie doesn’t take a lot of color. Check the bottom. If it has taken a bit of color get them out. The cookies might be soft for a bit but they’ll harden when they are cooled down.

*Bake your cookies shorter to have them super soft.

Lemony Meatball Soup! | How to cook an easy & delicious soup

This is my absolute favorite meal – ever. I guess the reason for that is the lemony taste and how refreshing it is. #recipe #foodporn

Ingredients

200gr minced meat of your choice (I used beef) | 7 oz

1 big potato or 2 smaller ones

1 onion

1 egg

1 lemon

1-2 carrots

about 30 gr flour | 3 tablespoons

50 gr rice | 1,7 oz

salt, black pepper

How to make it

1. Grate the onion or cut it into really small pieces. As we are making small meatballs grating is the better choice.

2. Put the meat, onions, rice, salt and pepper into a bowl and start kneading it.

3. Get another bowl or plate ready and put the flour into it. Start forming small meatballs (the size of hazelnuts, but you can have them any size you want of course). Put the meatballs into the flour. The flour prevents them from sticking together.

4. Chop carrots and potatoes into equal sizes.

5. Heat up about one liter of water and put first the carrots in. When they get softer, add the potatoes.

6. When the potatoes start to soften, you can add the meatballs into the soup. Boil until the rice in the meatballs has gone soft. Turn stove off at that point.

7. Squeeze the lemon juice and add the egg into it. Whisk it and add one ladle full of the broth. Mix this a bit and pour it into the soup. Let this cook for a minute.

Tips

*As potatoes love salt you should check close to the end if the taste is ok with you. I usually have to add quite a bit of salt into the soup.

*If the rice looks too clunky to you in the meatballs, you can crush them slightly or use bulgur. Just keep in mind that the cooking time will change accordingly.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies | An easy recipe for everyone

The classic recipe is always the best. Keep it simple and enjoy the yummy result! #recipe #cookies

Ingredients

230 gr butter | 1 cup

225 gr brown sugar | 1 cup

115 gr white sugar | 1/2 cup

1 pkg vanilla sugar

1 pkg baking powder | 1/2 teaspoon

2 eggs

150 gr flour | 1 1/4 cups

260 gr oats | 3 cups

175 gr chocolate chips | 1 cup

a pinch of salt

How to make it

1. Put butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and vanilla sugar into a bowl and start mixing it.

2. Add the eggs one at a time.

3. Add baking powder and a pinch of salt to the flour – add that into the batter.

4. Finally, add the oats and chocolate chips and stir until thoroughly mixed.

5. Scoop with a tablespoon a bit from your dough onto a tray. Leave enough space for the cookies to expand.

6. Bake cookies at 160 C / 320 F for about 10-12 minutes. When you see them crack, take them out of the oven.

7. Let the cookies rest for a bit (they’ll fall apart if you try moving them while hot), put onto a cooling rack after a few minutes.

8. Eat those suckers :D

Tips

* If you don't want to use any brown sugar just give normal white sugar. The taste doesn't change much, at least not so much, that you really know there is a difference.

* If you think that your cookies are too thin or not chewy enough add a bit more flour. Try experimenting with the amount of flour until you’re happy with the result. Once I added way too much flour but it was yummy nonetheless.

* Of course, you can add other ingredients as well: ground hazelnuts, walnuts or even almonds can go really well with this kind of cookies. Like I said above: Experiment until you find your poison :D

Black Tea Cake | Recipe for a twist on the classic chocolate cake!

As avid black tea drinkers, there are some leftover tea more often than not. So let’s use that tea for some good chocolate cake. #recipe #chocolate

Ingredients

3 eggs

250 gr sugar | 1 ¼ cups

1 package vanilla sugar

200 ml oil | a little less than 1 cup

200 ml black tea | 1 cup (room temperature)

about 350 gr flour | 3 ¼ cups

1 package baking powder

30 gr cacao | 3 tablespoons

How to make it

1. Mix the eggs, vanilla, and regular sugar until the sugar has dissolved.

2. Pour the oil into the mixture.

3. Add baking powder to the flour, stir it a bit under and start put the flour into the egg mixture.

4. Add the tea into the dough. If the dough is still very runny after adding all the flour, consider adding another tablespoon of flour.

5. Add the cacao at the end and mix it thoroughly.

6. Bake at 170 C / ca. 340 F for about 30 minutes.

Tips

*If you are not sure if your cake is done test it with a toothpick. If no dough sticks to it the cake is done.

*Because of the tea the flavor of the cake will change a bit. I actually like it the best when it has rested a few hours.

*If your tea was really strong and you are sensitive to caffeine, avoid eating this cake in the evening. But it should be an interesting alternative to coffee in the morning :D

Almond Blondie | A yummy and easy brownie recipe

Everyone loves brownies, so it feels natural for an almond enthusiast to make an ALMOND BLONDIE :D #recipe #foodporn

Ingredients

3 eggs

200 gr ground almonds | 2 cups

75 gr butter | 1/3 cup

1 teaspoon fine salt (half as a topping – optional)

225 gr sugar | 1 cup

50 gr flour | 1/4 cup

2-3 drops almond extract

sliced or chopped almonds (as the topping)

How to make it

1. Melt the butter and turn the stove off

2. Add sugar and mix it.

3. Add the eggs into the dough, then the almond extract. Add HALF of the TEAspoon of salt.

4. Put flour and mix thoroughly.

5. Pour into tray/pan of choice and sprinkle your sliced or chopped almonds

6. (Optional!) Sprinkle the other half of the salt on the dough.

7. Bake at about 170 C / 340 F for about 30 minutes until the blondie has a golden color.

Tips

*Grind your salt yourself if you want to put it onto the dough. If you don’t want to do that step, you don’t need to grind the salt at all. It’ll dissolve in the dough well enough.

Making this music video was a great experiment for me. The concept and the production design was done by me, my friend Robi directed the shooting. Then we brought all the footage to our panel and started the post production. It took me 3 months to finish it as I was doing everything from editing to vfx, compositing to coloring. It was a rocking experience.
