Here's another video in my Fish Cleaning Series. This is a Red Drum. Sometimes people call them Redfish or Red Bass but the proper name is Red Drum. Very good eating too. A glove is recommended when cleaning as the knife can slip on these!
Cleaning Fish, Fish, Fishing, Red Drum, Catching and Cleaning Fish. Roger shows us how to properly and quickly clean a Red Drum.
I also want to add that, when cooking this fish, I am very anal about no bones in it, I do NOT like bones in my deep fry, and using rogers methods here, the filets are very clean, you are not finding any hidden half rib cage niblets hiding on you. Excellent cleaning job here. For those of you who may be in the North Florida area, we need to shout out and meet up one day and I'll show you how to cook them first hand too! Can't make friends if you don't invite them. Specter
Love these videos very helpful
Thank you everyone for the donations. I also want to add, sometimes the scales are very thick so you will want to use a sturdy knife for the initial cut, instead of the sometimes thinner more agile fillet knives.
looks good!
